Nomenclature: Hoser’s 2009 classification and nomenclature has been rejected as unnecessary and unavailable by WÜSTER & BERNILS 2011. 
EtymologyNamed after Greek basilískos (βασιλίσκος), mythical creature known as the basilisk, which was believed to be a serpent or dragon with potent venom and deadly gaze. [?].
