Type locality. The coordinates in original paper (26° 45’ S, 113° 48’ E) are wrong; the given location is in W Australia, not South Australia. The correct coordinates are provided above.
Diagnosis: A member of the Ctenophorus decresii group (sensu Houston 1974 and 1978, cf Storr, Smith & Johnstone 1983). Distinguishable from all other members of this group in the following combination of charaeters: snout seales wrinkled; vertebral keel line present, at least anteriorly; flanks with pale cream to pale salmon pink patches on a grey-brown background in adult males; large pale grey to white spots present on dorsum in females and juveniles; tail without broad alternate dark and pale bands [from JOHNSTON 1992].
