Type locality: Perth, W. A.

aranda: Simpson desert south to Lake Eyre basin.

brooksi: E deserts of West Australia, adjacent desert regions of SW North Territory and W South Australia.

iridis: W Victoria and adjacent parts of South Australia. Map legend:

CommentSynonymy modified after COGGER 1983.

Abundance: not uncommon, with more than 200 specimens collected (Pianka 2011)

Subspecies: Ctenotus brooksi euclae STORR 1971 is now treated as valid species.
