Type locality: Ledge Point, WA.

EtymologyFrom the Latin celatus (hidden), referring both to the small size of the ear, with the anterior edge covered by overhanging scales, and also the late discovery of the species. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
