Diagnosis 
Comment“Cyrtodactylus irianjayaensis sp. n. differs from Cyrtodactylus loriae (BOULENGER, 1897) and Cyrtodactylus novaeguineae (SCHLEGEL, 1844) by more tubercles on the lateral fold, larger ventralia and fewer praeanal pores. From Cyrtodactylus louisiadensis (DE VIS, 1892) Cyrtodactylus irianjayaensis sp. n. differs by fewer tubercles on the back, fewer tubercles on the lateral fold and fewer praeanals pores.” (from Rösler’s abstract). “This species is well known in the pet trade as the New Guinea phase of Cytodactylus louisiadensis.” (Boris Klusmeyer, pers. comm.).

Abundance: only known from the type locality (Meiri et al. 2017).
