Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies: Kurnaz et al. 2017 concluded that Darevskia derjugini barani from Turkey cannot be reliably distinguished from Darevskia derjugini derjugini and hence synonymized the Turkish populations of barani with the nominate form of derjugini. Given that barani seems to be known only from W Georgia, it is possible that barani is a synonym of derjugini altogether.

EtymologyNamed after Professor Dr. Konstantin Michailovich Derjugin (1878-1938), a hydrobiologist at Leningrad State University.
