DiagnosisDiagnosis: A small dark grey Demansia with relatively short, thick body; little or no pattern apart from circumorbital markings; low number of ventrals and sub- caudals; and nostril not dividing nasal (Storr 1978: 290)

EtymologyFrom the Latin simplex (unmixed or simple), in reference to the plain coloration of this Demansia species. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
