CommentSynonymy after COGGER 1983 (who stressed that many of the synonyms are still uncertain and may refer to distinct species) and ROOIJEN et al. 2015 who synonymized salomonis with calligaster.

Behavior: diurnal

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018) 
EtymologyNamed after the Greek words kallos (beauty, beautiful), and gaster (belly) and refers to the colorful pattern of ventral scales.
