CommentDistribution: Possibly in Bhutan (Lenz 2012). Not in Pakistan fide KHAN 2002 (pers. comm.).

Synonymy partly fide ROOIJEN & VOGEL 2008. Dendrophis chairecaeos BOIE 1827 has been revalidated by ROOIJEN & VOGEL 2009.

Behavior: diurnal

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018) 
EtymologyPossibly named after the Latin tristis (sad), in reference to the dark coloration (in preservative ?).
