elongata: Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo (Brazzaville), Zaire ?; Type locality: “angeblich aus Neu-Caledonien” (in error)

gracilis: Democratic Republic of the Congo (Zaire); Type locality: “Teturi, 750 m [elevation], rive gauche de l’Ituri, Terr. de Mambasa, Ituri”.

CommentSynonymy: Boulenger Rasmussen (1989) synonymized D. viridis with D. duchesnei. Crotaphopeltis elongata BARBOUR 1914 has been synonymized with D. viridis by Rasmussen (1993).

Chifundera mentioned Laurent 1956 as first describer of D. elongata.

Distribution: Dipsadoboa elongata has been erroneously listed for Benin but does not occur there (Hughes 2013). Not in Liberia fide Senter & Chippaux 2022. For a map with localities in Equatorial Guinea see SÁNCHEZ-VIALAS et al. 2022.

Habitat: partly arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).
