Comment | Synonymy: Has been treated as a synonym of D. fimbriatus (HENNIG 1936, MUSTERS 1983, HONDA et al. 1999). Inger (1983) treated D. punctatus as a synonym of D. cristatellus. However, McGuire et al. 2001, 2018 recognized cristatellus as valid. Distribution: not in Thailand (Chan-ard et al. 2015). Only known from a small area near Kuching. |
Etymology | Named after the Latin cristatus and the New Latin suffix -ella. Cristatus is a combination of the words crista (crest) and -atus (-ate), from the dorsal crest. |
