Comment	Venomous! Synonymy: Elapsoidea loveridgei scalaris LAURENT 1960 has been synonymized with E. guentheri by JACOBSEN (1997). Distribution: see map in Broadley 1971: 600 (Fig. 4).
Etymology	Named after Arthur Loveridge (1891-1980), American herpetologist.
