Type locality: Futuna Island, an island formerly called Erronan.

DiagnosisDiagnosis: E. erronan can be readily distinguished from the other species of the E. concolor subgroup (except with E. aneityumensis) by its number of middorsal scale lines from the fron- toparietal to the base of the tail (77 to 84). It can then be distinguished from E. aneityumensis by its number of fourth toe subdigital lamellae (36 to 42 in E. aneityumensis vs 47 to 53 in E. erronan). [Ineich 2011] 
CommentSimilar species: The skink Emoia erronan belongs to the Emoia concolor subgroup of the Emoia samoensis group. It is often mixed with the latter binomen in collections.

Abundance: Rare. This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024.
