CommentDistribution: This species has been reported from Peru, but without specific locality (T. Doan, pers. comm. 30 Apr 2012).

Abundance: Rare. This is one of the species called 'lost' and 'rediscovered' by Lindken et al. 2024. 
EtymologyNamed after Latin rubrum, red, ruddy, painted red and Latin lineata, lined. [“...Färbung lebhaft roth...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
