Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Differs from all other species of Leptotyphlops in possessing the following combination of characters: 1) suboculars present. 2) a uniform dorsal pattern, vaguely lineate on lower sides, 3) fewer than 250 transverse scale rows, and 4) a tail that is less than 15% of the total length. |
Comment | Abundance: only known from the type specimen (Koch et al. 2016).
Distribution: the presumed location is based on the fact that the collector, Aug. Brückmann, collected other specimens in Brazil: “wahrscheinlich von Brasilien” = probably from Brazil. |
Etymology | Named after the uniform dorsal color. |
