Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: Erroneously reported from E-Mongolia (fide ZHAO & ADLER 1993); very similar to E. argus. Günther (1873, in J. L. Brenchley: 396) gave the type locality as the district of Mongolia called "The Land of Grass" (or Steppes), but the species is not known from Mongolia. Not in Russia fide Sindaco & Jeremcenko 2008. 
EtymologyNamed after Julius Lucius Brenchley (1816-1873), an English traveler who collected the holotype.
