CommentSynonymy partly after COGGER 1983. BOULENGER (1904) felt that Hinulia pardalis was the same as Lygosoma (Hinulia) elegantulum.

Distribution: Reports from New Guinea (fide SMITH 1937) are probably in error and have not been confirmed (Allen Allison, pers. comm., 20 Feb 2017).

Limb morphology: 5 digits, 5 toes (Singhal et al. 2018, Cogger 2014) 
EtymologyPresumably named after the Greek pardalis (female leopard) in allusion to the spotted colour pattern. (G. Shea, pers. comm., 9 Feb 2024)
