Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Liophis andinus is distinguished from all species of Liophis except L. reginae by having 15-15-15 dorsal scale rows, generally without reduction (one reduced to 14 posteriorly), rather than 19-17-17, 19-17-15, 17-17-17, or 17-17-15 dorsal scale rows: and from all species of Liophis by having three (very rarely two) supralabials entering the orbit rather than two [from DIXON 1983]. |
