DiagnosisDiagnosis (atlantica): Männchen erreichen eine maximale Gesamtlänge von 285 mm, bei einer Kopf- Rumpflänge von 110 mm. Bei den Weibchen sind es maximal 195 mm und 68 mm. Weitere Merkmale sind die recht hohe Anzahl von Dorsalia in einer Querreihe um die Körpermitte (x̅ = 47) und der Schuppen um den 6. Schwanzwirtel (x̅ = 27,1) sowie die geringe Anzahl der Temporalia pro KopfSeite (x̅ = 41,5). Die blauen Flecken an den Flanken der Männchen sind meist größer als der Durchmesser von 3 lateralen Schuppen, können oft sehr großflächig sein und sich sogar zu einem blauen Längsband vereinigen (Bischoff 1985: 502).
