CommentPhylogeny: Based on DNA sequences, Ptychozoon rhacophorus is nested within Gekko (BROWN et al. 2012), and hence may have to be renamed.

Type species: Gekko rhacophorus (Boulenger, 1899) is the type species of the subgenus Rhacogekko Wood et al. 2019, 2020.
