TypesType: BMNH 1946.8.30.50 (and possibly additional specimens). 
CommentHistory: Swinhoe announced that species in 1863 as being described by GÜNTHER.

EtymologyNamed after Robert Swinhoe (1836-1877), born in Calcutta, India, but educated at London University (1852).
