Type locality: “Mexico” and “Guadalupa” [= possibly Guadalupe, Oaxaca, Mexico].

TypesSyntypes: ZSM (1), NMW (1), two deposited in a museum collection in Milan. None are known to be extant (Downs 1967: 171).

EtymologyNamed after Dr. Karl Theodor Ernst von Siebold (1804-1885), who studied at Universität Berlin and Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, becoming a physician who practiced in East Prussia (1831-1834).
