Type locality: Kumejima Island, Okinawa group.

Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy: this species was listed as a synonym of Eublepharis kuroiwae orientalis by WERMUTH 1965: 29, citing NAKAMURA & UÉNO 1963.

Conservation: This species is endangered.

EtymologyNamed after Marquis Yoshimaro Yamashina “who dispatched the present expedition” (OKADA 1936).
