Type locality: “East Indian Archipelago” [Tiaris tuberculatus]

TypesHolotype: BMNH 1946.8.27.21, male, (= holotype of Tiaris tuberculatus), Dr. Bleeker, apparently also the holotype of megalepis (fide W. Denzer, pers. comm., 18 June 2019)
