Distribution	Philippines (Mindanao, Mindoro, Danguan, Aninuan, Puerto Galera) Type locality: Mindanao.
Reproduction	oviparous
Types	Holotype: BMNH 1884.12.31.1 Correctly registered as 1884.12.31.1, however Gecko smithii has the same registration number despite there being no entry for this specimen in the original register.

Etymology	Named after Latin interruptus = interrupted, probably from the dorsal crest not continuous with the nuchal (but not explicitly explained by Boulenger)
