CommentType species: Gonyosoma margaritatum PETERS 1871: 578 is the type species of the genus Gonyophis BOULENGER 1891, currently a synonym of Gonyosoma (but see comments in Gonyosoma oxycephalum, the type species of Gonyosoma).

Habitat: fully arboreal (Harrington et al. 2018).

Distribution: not in Singapore or not established there (Figueroa et al. 2023).
