Type locality: 600 m elevation from the living room of the old Ban Hin Lee Guest House on Penang Hill, Pulau Pinang, Peninsular Malaysia (5°25’23.14”N, 100°16’19.79”E)
|Types||Holotype: LSUCH 11762, adult male, collected by Evan Quah and L. Lee Grismer on 5 May 2014 at approximately 1800 hrs during a heavy thunderstorm.|
Paratypes. Three adult females (LSUHC 11763–65) are associated with the same collection data as the holotype.
|Comment||Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017).|
|Etymology||This specific epithet “cicak” is the Malay word for lizard.|
