Comment	Type species: Oedura reticulata BUSTARD 1969 is the type species of the genus Hesperoedura OLIVER et al. 2012.
Etymology	Named after the reticulate pattern of the species. The genus name means ‘‘western swollen-tail’’ from the Greek hesperos (western), oed (swollen) and dura (tail), in reference to its restricted distribution in the south-west Australian Biodiversity Hotspot. The generic name is feminine. [OLIVER et al. 2012].
