DistributionIndonesia (Borneo: Kalimantan)

Type locality: Indonesia (Kalimantan Barat), Sungai Kapuas at Putussibau (0° 52’ N, 112° 55’ E), where the Sibau River empties into the Kapuas River, Kapuas hulu Regency, West Kalimantan.

TypesHolotype: ZFMK 65824. Paratypes: ANSP 26411, ZFMK 65825, female 
DiagnosisDIAGNOSIS: Dorsal scales in 25–27 rows at mid-body; subocular scales present; 15–16 upper labials, ones below and behind eye horizontally divided. It may be most easily confused with H. doriae, which has 29–33 scale rows at mid-body, and fewer than 153 ventrals (n = 3; Murphy & Voris 2014: 23) 
Comment 
EtymologyNamed after the late Burmese herpetologist Ko Ko Gyi, Professor at Rangoon University, and the first zoologist to revise the entire subfamily Homalopsinae in the 20th century.
