DistributionSingle mountains of NW Croatia, Slowenia, NE Italy, S Austria

Type locality: Jasenak, Kroatien Map legend:
TDWG region - Region according to the TDWG standard, not a precise distribution map.

NOTE: TDWG regions are generated automatically from the text in the distribution field and not in every cases it works well. We are working on it.
TypesSyntype: NMW 16025:1,2
Type: BMNH 1946.9.1.24 (and possibly additional specimens).
CommentRelationships: Although Lacerta (Iberolacerta) horvathi is isolated from the other members of the (sub-) genus Iberolacerta geographically, it is more closely related to I. monticola/cyreni than to the other Iberian species (see CROCHET et al. 2004).

Distribution: Engelmann et al. 1993 listed the species for Germany (although they say in the text that this needs verifiction), but later sources (e.g. SINDACO & JEREMČENKO 2008) do not confirm this.
