Type locality: Peña de Francia, Salamanca, España, without further data.  
Reproductionoviparous (not imputed, fide Zimin et al. 2022) 
TypesHolotype: private collection Oscar Arribas, given as CA 3001 (”collection Arribas”) and IPE (CSIC), male, M. MEUIDE leg. (= University of Barcelona ... “will be transferred to 'Centro Pirenaico de Ecologia (CSIC) after finishing the studies”). Paratypes: CA (Oscar Arribas). Types will be deposited in MNCN, O. Arribas, pers. comm., 31 Dec 2020.

EtymologyDedicated to Dr. JUAN P ABLO MARTINEZ-RICA, for his outstanding and serious contributions to the study of the Iberian herpetofauna, in particular the Pyrenean one.
