Type locality: SE slope of Cerro Cituro, 1020 m elevation, a peak on north end of the Serrania de Pirre, Darién, Panama.

EtymologyNamed after Latin phantasma, ghost; phantom; spirit. [“...The specific epithet, a noun in apposition, is Latin, meaning apparition...”].
