Distribution: Not listed for Togo by Segniagbeto et al. 2012.

Karyotype: triploid karyotype of 3n=42 with seven macro- and seven microtriplets and NORs on a microtriplet (Mezzasalma et al. 2016). 
EtymologyNamed after the Latinized form of the word “Brahmin” = a caste among Hindus.
