Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Kentropyx vanzoi is distinguished from K. striata and K. borckiana by having granular dorsal scales at midbody that gradually increase in size from the ventral scutes to middorsal line, rather than enlarged keeled dorsal scales at midbody and granular lateral scales; distinguished from K. altamazonica, K. calcarata and K. pelviceps by having four to five distinct dorsolateral light stripes (per side) rather than zero to two (K. altamazonica usually two, occasionally one; K, calcarata usually one, occasionally two; K. pelviceps usually one incomplete, often none); distinguished from K. viridistriga and K. paulensis by having 8-1 1 femoral pores rather than 17-27 and 15-22, respectively.
