Type locality: western slope of the central Zagros Mountains, Garmabe Region, Nourabad, Lorestan Province, western Iran, (34°03’N, 47°28’E, elevation 1,470 m elevation)

TypesHolotype: MTD 49500, adult male, collected on 8 April 2016 at night by Farhang Torki.
Paratype (Fig. 4): Adult male, MTD 49499, same data as for holotype.

CommentType species: Lakigecko aaronbaueri TORKI 2020 is the type species of the genus Lakigecko TORKI 2020. 
EtymologyThe species is named after American herpetologist Aaron M. Bauer.

The genus nomen Lakigecko is derived from the word “Laki” which refers to the Lak region near the type locality.
