Diagnosis | Diagnosis: Lampropholis elongata differs from all other members of the genus Lampropholis in each of the following two characters: three supraoculars, the first two in contact with frontal, and a phalangeal formula 2.3.4.4.3/2.3.4.4.3 instead of 2.3.4.5.3/2.3.4.5.4 (Table 4). Comment | Type species: Lampropholis elongata GREER 1997 is the type species of the genus Adrasteia WELLS 2002. However, Adrasteia Wells, 2002 is preoccupied by Adrasteia Chambers 1872 [Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae] – itself a junior synonym of Telphusia Chambers, 1872; see WELLS 2002 for references). WELLS 2010 thus proposed the replacement name Adrasteiascincus WELLS 2010. |
