Type locality: Masuku and Nyika Plateau, Malawi.

kidwelli: Type locality: Eldorado, Southern Rhodesia.

bredoi: Type locality: Musosa, Tanganyika District, Belgian Congo

TypesType: BMNH 1946.9.2.93 (and possibly additional specimens). 
Diagnosis 
CommentDistribution: Reports from Kenya are based on a single specimen from Rabai, near Mombasa (SPAWLS & ROTICH 1997). 
EtymologyNamed after Sir Harry Hamilton Johnston (1858-1927), a formidable explorer, colonial administrator, painter, photographer, cartographer, naturalist, writer, and Queen Victoria's first Commissioner and Consul-General to British Central Africa. He discovered ~100 new species (Beolens et al. 2011).
