Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A species of Larutia gen. nov., which is morphologically , easily distinguished from its four congeners by the possession of four digits and toes respectively on each limb, as well as by the reduced number of 18 midbody scale rows. Chorologically it is distinguished. by its occurence in northern Thailand, whereas the four other species are confined to the Malay peninsula and to Sumatra [from BÖHME 1981]. |
Comment | Abundance: probably rare; only known from 2 specimens (Darevsky & Orlov 2005, Meiri et al. 2017). |
Etymology | named after Dr. Giuseppe Osella, the collector of the type locality. |
