Distribution	S Mozambique, Swaziland (Lebombo mountains) Type locality: Estatuane, Mozambique.
Reproduction	oviparous
Types	Holotype: NMZB, previously UM 30635.
Diagnosis	Diagnosis: A species apparently most closely related to L. distanti, which it resembles in having 12 scale rows on the tail. It differs from distanti in having a narrow rostral and undivided occipitals. An anterior supralabial is present. Additional details (642 characters) are available for collaborators and contributors. Etymology	named for Jose Tello, who has made valuable collections of reptiles and amphibians in poorly known regions of southern Mocambique.
