Diagnosis | Diagnosis: A moderately small, strongly patterned member of the L. nichollsi complex (up to 118 mm long) with immovable eyelids, 4 supraciliaries, wide vertebral stripe, two toes and forelimb represented by a small pit or groove (occasionally with a minute stump up to 0.2 mm long), Distinguishable from the L. nichollsi subgroup by lesser size, relatively shorter tail, larger second loreal, larger presuboculars, darker head, wider vertebral "tripe and narrower upper lateral stripe (Storr 1991).
