Diagnosis 
CommentType species: Leiolopisma coense MITCHELL 1953 is the type species of the genus Liburnascincus Wells and Wellington, 1984.

Phylogeny: Bragg et al. 2018 presented a phylogeny of the genera Lygisaurus, Liburnascincus, and Carlia.
