Diagnosis 
CommentSubspecies: Liolaemus kingii somuncurae CEI & SCOLARO 1981 and Liolaemus kingii baguali CEI & SCOLARO 1983 have been elevated to species status.

Distribution: not listed by Ruiz de Gamboa 2016 for Chile.

Group: kingii group (13 species fide Sánchez et al. 2021). 
Etymologynamed after Captain and Admiral Philip Parker King (1791-1856), Australian-born British marine surveyor and collector.
