Type locality: Lloellapampa, Junín, Peru, about 10,000 ft.

Diagnosis 
CommentSynonymy partly after PETERS & DONOSO-BARROS 1970: 179 who also list Liolaemus elegans TSCHUDI 1845 as a questionable synonym.

Distribution: this species is restricted to Peru; reports from Chile represent L. alticolor, L. puna, or L. tacnae. Accordingly, not listed for Chile by Demangel 2016. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Warren Franklin Walker Jr. (b. 1918), a biologist and herpetologistwho worked with K. P. Schmidt.
