Comment	Synonymy: Dixon and Kofron (1984: 259) synonymized metae with anops.
Etymology	Named after Greek a- (α-), privative partícle + Greek ops (ὄψ), eye. [“...Eye invisible...”]. (from Esteban Lavilla, pers. comm., May 2024)
