Type locality: Lake Wanagong, ca. 9 km (by air) N of Tembagapura town center, Farak District, Irian Jaya, Indonesia, elevation 3920 m.

DiagnosisDiagnosis.-Lobulia glacialis differs from all other species of Lobulia in having the following combination of characters: window in lower eyelid consistently large and semi-transparent instead of variable in degree of scaliness; supralabials posterior to the sub-ocular supralabialtwo instead of three; longitudinal scale rows at midbody >32, and anterior edge of the external ear opening with low but distinct lobules instead of smooth. 
CommentDistribution: Only known from the type locality.

Abundance: only known from its original description (Meiri et al. 2017). 
EtymologyNamed after the high altitude distribution of the species which was found close to the glacier in the Sudirman (Carstenxz) Mountains of Indonesia’s Papua Province.
