Type locality: west of Usakos, Karibib District, Namibia.

TypesHolotype: DNMNH (= TM) 52730 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Nostril pierced near the rear edge of the nasal. which is followed by a postnasal that is well separated from the first supralabial. Dorsal scales with single apical pits in 17-17-15 rows, the reduction taking place well before the vent; ventrals 193-207 in males, 202-213 in females; subcaudals 38-42 in males, 30-34 in females (Broadley 1996: 17).
