CommentDiagnosis. Lower eyelid scaly; pterygoid teeth present; frontoparietals paired; a discrete supranasal above an entire nasal shield; digits pentadactyle; dorsal scales tricarinate in juveniles, becoming smooth in adults, 24-26 midbody scale rows; four supralabials anterior to subocular; one or two lanceolate lobules on upper ~nterior border of ear opening; subdigitallamellae beneath fourth toe 15-18, beneath fIfth toe 9-11. Maximum recorded snout-vent length 100 mm. Light grey brown above, the lateral scales dark-tipped; vent rum white. 
EtymologyThe name lanceolatum refers to the long lanceolate ear lobule which is diagnostic for this species.
