DistributionSyria, Jordan, probably in SW Iraq, Saudi Arabia

Type locality: Syria, between Homs and Palmyra.

TypesHolotype: FMNH 19586 
DiagnosisDiagnosis: Allied to L. diadema, but with widely spaced black dorsal crossbars; preoculars three on each side; 10 lower labials [from SCHMIDT 1939]. 
CommentDistribution: not in Iraq fide Habeeb & Rastegar-Pouyani 2016. For a map see Sindaco et al. 2013. 
Etymologynamed after Dr. Walter P. Kennedy, of the Royal College of Medicine, Baghdad, who has contributed important material to the author’s collections.
