Reproductionoviparous and viviparous (Pyron & Burbrink 2013, citing Glaw & Vences 2006).

CommentAccording to Miralles and Vences (2013) Madascincus igneocaudatus should be restricted to their igneocaudatus-S clade, whereas the clade igneocaudatus-C represents also a new undescribed species.
