DiagnosisDiagnosis: “ First (and only) supraocular much more than twice as long as wide, and in contact with first supraciliary (see Fig. 1). Uppermost circumocular granule not enlarged. Ear aperture small. No indication of lateral stripes.” (Storr 1976: 199) 
CommentSynonymy after COGGER 1983.

One of the smallest skinks known. 
EtymologyNamed after Dr. Albert "Bert" Russell Main (1919-2010), a well-known Australian ecologist, who was married to arachnologist Barbara York Main.
